01 November
Within the framework of the Conference "Genetics and Individual Development" dedicated to the 120th anniversary of B.L. Astaurov and the Workshop "Genetic Modification and Cell Genome Analysis" the Contest for the best poster presentations of young scientists was held. Authors of 33 presentations from Russia and beyond participated in the competition. During the poster session any conference participants could vote for the best presentation by marking them with a heart-shaped sticker. The best posters were also chosen by experts in the expert committee.

As a result, three participants got the maximum number of votes from audience and expert committee and were awarded Diplomas and gifts from sponsors, as well as commemorative books about Academician B.L. Astaurov.

Anna Y. Kvach - Assistant of the Department of Invertebrate Zoology, St. Petersburg State University, Zoological Institute of RAS
Analysis of differential gene expression in polypids of the freshwater bryozoan Cristatella mucedo during blastogenesis and degeneration [Kvach A.Y., Kutyumov V.A., Starunov V.V., Ostrovsky A.N.].

Yulia A. Novikova - PhD student of the Cell Biology Lab, IDB RAS
Investigation of the role of minor subpopulations of mesenchyme cells in morphogenesis of mouse lungs [Novikova Y.A., Govorova I.A., Nikitochkina S.Y., Sutyagina O.I., Vorotelyak E.A.].

Maria D. Tkachenko - PhD candidate of the Regenerative Biology Lab, Embryophysiology Group, IDB RAS
Influence of fluoxetine on mouse oocyte maturation processes: molecular aspects [Tkachenko M.D., Nikishin D.A.].

Three participants were awarded prizes of audience choice, as well as Diplomas and commemorative books about Academician B.L. Astaurov.

Olga L. Cherkashina - PhD student of the Cell Biology Lab, IDB RAS
Relation of YAP activity with the pattern of keratinocyte proliferation in human skin [Cherkashina O.L., Citrina A.A., Abolin D.S., Kosykh A.V., Vorotelak E.A., Kalabusheva E.P.].

Nina M. Alyoshina - PhD, Researcher, Laboratory of Regenerative Biology, Embryophysiology Group, IDB RAS

About IDB RAS

Koltzov Institute of Developmental Biology of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IDB RAS) performs research in basic and applied areas of Developmental Biology. We aim to unravel the mechanisms and patterns of development in living organisms at the molecular, genetic, cellular, tissue and organismal levels. We obtain new knowledge that helps to gain insight into the evolution of development and origin of biodiversity on the Earth.
